Angela Evelyn Bassett (born April 15th, 1961) was an American actor. In the last decade Angela Evelyn has appeared in television and film. The actress has won many awards, including the 16 NAACP Image Awards. Bassett is born in New York New York. She was raised at Winston-Salem North Carolina. Bassett along with her sister, and their mother moved to St. Petersburg Florida when Bassett was just five. Their father divorced their mother. Bassett was in high school when was able to see James Earl Jones staring John Steinbeck in the play Of Mice and Men and knew that her dream of becoming an actor had been born. In the year 1980, Bassett completed her studies at Yale University New Haven Connecticut with the degree of African American studies. She also received a degree from The Yale School of Drama. She dated Courtney B. Vance, another actress from Yale and they got married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. Degree in African-American Studies in the year 1980. Angela Bassett currently works in one of her lead characters, Ramonda, in the action-adventure film i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
